Jacqueline Fernandez, a Sri Lankan actor from Bahrain's Manama was born into the multicultural home of a family. Jacqueline's father Elroy is Sri Lankan (Catholic Sinhalese) and her mother Kim, a Malaysian. She has two brothers and one older sister. It was because of the conflict in Sri Lanka that her parents made the decision to relocate to Bahrain. The scholarship she received allowed her to go to an undergraduate program at the University of Sydney in Sydney Australia following the completion of her schooling in Bahrain. The love of different cultures and languages led her to join the Berlitz language school where she improved her French as well as Arabic in addition to learning Spanish. The crown was awarded to Miss Sri Lanka 2006 for Miss Universe 2006 on March 6th, 2006 and also competed at Miss Universe 2006. Following her victory in 2006, Miss Sri Lanka win, Padukone stepped into the world of television as host of a TV show on Sri Lankan Business known as Lanka Business Report. Padukone has a daughter with tennis star Prakash Padukone. She was raised in Bangalore and was born in Copenhagen. When she was a teenager, she played badminton in National level competitions. She later resigned her career in the sport in order to be a fashion model. Padukone's mother tongue is Konkani. She is Mangalorean from her birthplace. Her lineage hails from Padukone village in Kundapura Taluk in the Udupi District of the State of Karnataka, India. Prakash Padukone has retired as a world-renowned athlete in badminton, while her mother is also a travel consultant.
